mixed media compulsions: edith died laughing
A series inspired by stories of my Grandmother (who died laughing), a box of her carefully cut-out paper dolls, and an inherited sense of humour. Works on panels, canvas, paper, and a series of note cards.

The prints in this series are original works (not reproductions of other completed work) and printed either as unique impressions or as limited editions (usually a maximum of 5). Each work in the series begins with an idea; using items in my collection, scans and photographs, they are composed as digital collages and printed using artist quality inks and papers. The prints in this series are original works (not reproductions of other completed work) and printed either as unique impressions or as limited editions (usually a maximum of 5). This is a sampling only! Works available for purchase may be found at fb.me/madmotherdesigns – send a message.

The paper dolls nearly ALL have names written on the back. I’ve stuck with the original names, and their spellings :), only adding names where illegible or missing.
